This print, Ikura Dream, features a black pigtailed oni girl, among a bed of salmon roe which also adorn her hair. I was inspired by the colors of the lo-fi art style. Lo-fi art is an aesthetic style characterized by a muted color palette, often featuring pastel shades and a dreamlike, nostalgic vibe. It often utilizes imagery from anime, manga, or urban settings, aiming to evoke a sense of calm and familiarity. I was excited to incorporate this style into this painting, as I am quite fond of the style!
