This print, Shoyu Retribution, depicts a drop of soy sauce (aka shoyu in japanese) personified. This stunning drop is about to reach the flaming soy sauce dish below her. Demons writhe below her in eternal agony. But does Shoyu offer them solace? Perhaps, indicated by her tearful disposition, it is a torment she feels she must exact. She feels no solace or comfort in the torment.
